Lydian Ancient Wine Route Day Tour — Sardis & Nif

Our tour begins in the morning as guests are picked up from the designated times and meeting points in comfortable vehicles. After a short journey from İzmir, we arrive at Nif Vineyards, the first stop on our route.

Set in a natural landscape, this boutique production estate welcomes us with an enjoyable tour introducing the vineyards and production facilities. Following the vineyard visit, we enjoy a carefully prepared lunch paired with a wine tasting selected from Nif Vineyards’ special collection.

After lunch, our route continues to the Ancient City of Sardes, one of the most important cities of the ancient world. Sardes, the capital of the Lydian civilisation, welcomes us with its thousands of years of history. Accompanied by our professional guide, we explore the Gymnasium, the Temple of Artemis, and the ancient Roman baths, setting out on a fascinating journey through history.

Following this historical experience, our route continues into the heart of the region known as the “Green Sea,” named after the vast vineyard-covered landscape of the Gediz Plain. We arrive at Sobran Vineyards, the final stop of the day.

Held among the vines and fruit trees, the private tasting offers the opportunity to experience selected wines produced from the region’s characteristic grape varieties. As sunset approaches, this final tasting in the peaceful vineyard setting becomes one of the most memorable moments of the day.

At the end of the day, we begin our return journey to İzmir with distinctive flavours and wonderful memories.
