The lands of Anatolia and Thrace, shaped by vineyards for thousands of years, are an important part of humanity's shared heritage — with their ancient cities, living vineyard culture, indigenous grape varieties and rich gastronomy. Türkiye Wine Routes exists to protect this heritage, make it visible, and share it with the world.
Our aim is not only to develop wine tourism. Türkiye Wine Routes is an international promotion and collaboration platform offering visitors an unforgettable cultural journey — one where they walk among vineyards while following the traces of ancient civilisations, meet local producers, experience regional cuisine, and find a story at every stop. It sets out to bring the ancient heritage, living vineyard culture and singular gastronomy of Türkiye's historic wine regions to the world.
A Route Built on Collaboration
The platform works on a collaborative basis to promote Türkiye's ancient wine-growing geography on an international scale, alongside existing organisations that showcase the richness of their own regions — the Urla Wine Route, the Çal Wine Route, the Lydia Ancient Wine Route and the Troia Wine Route — as well as other official bodies that will join in the future.
A Journey from Troia to Çal
Stretching from the mythological memory of Troia to the ancient roads of Lydia, from the living vineyard culture of Urla (Klazomenai) to the production traditions of Çal (Mosyna), this journey offers visitors not merely a wine route, but the chance to experience first-hand the stories these lands have gathered over thousands of years.
Coming upon the traces of ancient cities while walking among the vines, witnessing the labour of local producers, tasting the flavours of a regional cuisine carried from the past into the present: these form the essence of the experience Türkiye Wine Routes offers.
